The Clarksburg Amphitheater was built in 2009 and is a well-established facility in the community. The initial hopes for the new venue were to put on smaller free performances for the public. All of this changed within the first two years of the venue being built. Since then, the City of Clarksburg Board of Park Commissioners have booked several nationally known artists including Florida Georgia Line, Jake Owen, MercyMe, Aaron Lewis, Casting Crowns, Kidz Bop, Old Dominion, Dan & Shay and plenty more. As well as free movies and music that are sponsored by local businesses.
With bigger acts come more space and more amenities. Permanent seating has been added in multiple stages to the bowl area where our Premium and Reserved sections are located as well as Grand Stand seating as our General Admission sections. A new shelter has been built inside the facility that houses merchandise sales, vendors, and any additional services that may be provided during an event. The “Amp” is always evolving and looking for ways to enhance the experience for the patrons.
The City of Clarksburg Board of Park Commissioners are dedicated and committed to serving the people of Clarksburg with the utmost respect, integrity and honesty in an effort to achieve the highest professional standards and accountability. Furthermore, employees will strive to provide a higher quality of life through ethical and moral leadership, efficient and timely park and recreational services and facilities and a fiscally responsible government.
